適用范圍：This standard provides the requirements for a tape cartridge to be used for information interchange among information-processing systems, communication systems, and associated equipment utilizing a standard code for information interchange as agreed upon by the interchange parties. This standard deals with the requirements for the unrecorded cartridge and for recording on the enclosed magnetic tape. The use of a labeling standard such as American National Standard for Information systems - File structure and labeling of magnetic tapes for information interchange, ANSI X3.27-1987 (R1993) or later editions, will support data interchange between data-processing systems.
