適用范圍：1.1 This standard covers the requirements of electrical apparatus having the type of protection 'e'.The type of protection 'e' may only be applied to such kinds of apparatus, and parts of apparatus, as do not produce sparks or arcs or dangerous temperatures in normal service.This standard specifies the measures to be applied in order to increase the safety of such apparatus so that it is suitable for operation in areas endangered by explosive gas atmospheres.Note — Apparatus which does not produce electric sparks or arcs in normal service attains the degree of safety required for apparatus of type of protection 'e' only by the application of the special measures described in this standard.1.1.1 This standard does not include the specifications of the apparatus within the enclosure and for these references to the relevant Indian Standard Specifications should be made.1.1.2 The electrical apparatus with type of protection 'e' is suitable for use in Division 2 areas〓.1.1.3 This standard deals only with the equipment with type of protection 'e' and not with other methods of controlling an explosion hazard, such as:a) enclosures of large batteries as are used on locomotives and which need to be made safe by adoption of other means;b) dust-tight, sand-filled, or hermetically sealed enclosures;c) pressurized enclosures;d) oil-immersed protection; ande) flameproof;
