適用范圍：1.1 This standard covers alternating current air-break and oil-immersed switches and switch-isolators intended for general purpose duty, such as feeder switches for indoor and outdoor installations, for voltages above 1 000 volts and up to but not exceeding 11 000 volts.1.2 This specification also applies to operating devices of these switches and switch-isolators and their auxiliary equipment.1.3 This standard does not apply to the following:a) Switches or switch-isolators in which fuse is an integral part;b) Motor switches;c) Contactors;d) Earthing switches and earthing switches forming an integral part of a switch or switch-isolator, covered in IS: 1818-1961*; ande) Switches and switch-isolators in insulated neutral systems.1.4 The service conditions, for which the switches and switch-isolators conforming to this specification are suitable are given in Appendix A.
