適用范圍：This standard explains the hazard identification system developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) of the USA.The NFPA symbol for a substance gives a quick visual indication of the degree of hazard associated with that substance in the fields of health, flammability and reactivity. It also provides for an indication of certain other special hazards which may be associated with a substance.Although the system has been developed by the NFPA primarily as an aid to personnel fighting fires, it has a much wider application. It is here recommended that the primary reference for the emergency services should be the HAZCHEM emergency action code which is the subject of Part 3 of this standard.It must also be stressed that neither the NFPA symbol nor the HAZCHEM code is a substitute for full safety information on a substance.
