適用范圍：This British Standard specifies requirements for a series of carbonsteel, alloy steel, cast iron and copper alloy flanges, and alsoappropriate bolts and nuts, for use with pipes, valves and fittingscontaining steam, oil, compressed air or water.NOTE 1 The use of flanges complying with this standard fortemperatures below ?17.8 °C (0 °F) should be agreed between purchaserand manufacturer. These flanges may also be used on pipes, valves andfittings carrying other fluids for which the same requirements for safetyand joint tightness are appropriate.The applicability relationship between temperature and pressure forthe above materials is specified for each table of flanges in Table 2and Annex B.NOTE 2 The types of gasket, and gasket materials, and the surface finishof the jointing face are matters for agreement between the purchaserand the manufacturer. When a raised jointing face is specified the outsidediameter of the gasket should extend at least to the outside diameterof the raised face. For steel flanges when a raised jointing face is notspecified, the gasket should be within the bolt holes.
